Dr. Dipankar Das (MBBS, MS) graduated from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati, India; and completed a fellowship in ocular pathology and uveitis from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India. He is a senior consultant in the department of ocular pathology, uveitis, and neuro-ophthalmology at Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, Guwahati, India. Dr. Das has published over 169 papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals, several chapters in various books, and delivered over 250 scientific oral and poster presentations at various national and international conferences. He is a member of international and national pathology and inflammatory/infectious disease bodies. Dr. Das also has a patent filed to his name for the discovery of beta-2 microglobulin in tears.
