Author Information

Col. Stephen Bauer is a retired Army Infantry officer, veteran of combat in Vietnam and the DMZ in Korea, and a former presidential military aide. Based on his extensive military career, Stephen wrote How to Do Business with the Federal Government. His awards include the Presidential Service Badge, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Parachute Badge, Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, three Defense Meritorious Service Medals, Army Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Commendation Medals, and various other military awards. Stephen lives outside Houston with his wife, Linda, with whom he coauthored Recipes from Historic Texas.
