Overview

Jack Travers, a sergeant in the Royal Marines and serving with the Special Boat Squadron SBS, the Marine equivalent of the SAS, is on a mission in Eire. He learns that his younger brother, also serving in the army, is killed when an AED bomb explodes under his Armoured Personnel Carrier in Northern Ireland. Author Information

Graham Wakefield served with the Royal Navy for just over five years during which time he visited the Lebanon, North Africa and Cyprus during the troubles of the middle of the last century. On leaving the Navy, (he lost an arm in a motor-cycle accident), he studied with the Open University taking three degrees in Humanities, Philosophy and Mathematics. He is now living in retirement in East Sussex where he whiles away the time writing and playing golf.
