He has held the Agnes Gund and Daniel Shapiro Membership at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princton and an Ailsa Mellon Bruce Senior Fellowship at the Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts at the  National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC.
