Steven B. Frank is the author of The Pen Commandments: A Guide for the Beginning Writer. He teaches middle school at Le Lycee Français de Los Angeles and lives in Laurel Canyon, California. Armstrong and Charlie was inspired by his own sixth grade year at Wonderland Avenue Elementary.
