He was made OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2009 for his services to scholarship and was previously appointed H.O.Wills Professor of Greek at Bristol University. Prof. Rowe is also a founder member of the International Plato Society (1986-) and a past President of the Hellenic Society and of the Classical Association.
