Excerpt from Annual Report of the Office of Experiment Stations for the Year Ended June 30, 1907 As was expected, the work of the Office in its relations with the experiment stations has been materially increased by the duties involved in the administration of the funds arising from the Adams Act. The policy of the Office with reference to this act is to endeavor to formulate and to hold to such general principles in the administra tion of the act as seem most likely to secure the efficient use of the funds for research work of a high and substantial character and at the same time to safeguard the autonomy of the stations and raise their work and its results in the estimation of their farmer con stituents.
