The author, Dr. Barbara Dydyk, is a clinical psychologist and a family therapist with over thirty years experience working with children, couples and families. Dr. Dydyk received her doctoral training at Loyola University of Chicago and a post-doctoral degree from McMaster University and Chedoke Child and Family Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. She also completed an internship and advanced internship at the Philadelphia Child Guidance Centre. Dr. Dydyk developed the INTERFACE Service at Thistletown Regional Centre in Toronto, an innovative family-focused service for troubled children and their families. She also researched and developed a unit that admitted whole families for intensive assessment and treatment.
