Sixth-grader Adam Krasner wishes every family decision wasn't based on his brother Jeremy and Jeremy's problems. The Krasners have even moved to a new town because it has a great school system for kids with disabilities. If only Jeremy didn't always act so goofy. If only their mother didn't insist that both brothers be placed on the same Little League team, especially since Jeremy couldn't catch a fly ball if his life depended on it. Making friends in a new school isn't easy, which is why Adam is excited when Eddie, his coach's son, starts spending time with him. Eddie is the best player on their team and in seventh grade, like Jeremy. Eddie invites Adam to join some of the team for pizza before a game but tells him. ""And don't bring Jeremy."" Eddie, he soon learns, often lies and makes fun of Jeremy every chance he can. Then, Jeremy is accused of doing something truly awful, forcing Adam to take a stand and support his brother. Author Information

A former Spanish teacher, Marilyn Levinson writes mysteries, romantic suspense and novels for kids. Her books have received many accolades. As Allison Brook she writes the Haunted Library series. Death Overdue, the first in the series, was an Agatha nominee for Best Contemporary Novel in 2018. Out of Circulation, the eighth book in the series, will be published in August, 2024. Other mysteries include the Golden Age of Mystery Book Club series and the Twin Lakes series. Her juvenile novel, Rufus and Magic Run Amok, was an International Reading Association-Children's Book Council Children's Choice and has recently come out in a new edition. And Don't Bring Jeremy was a nominee for six state awards.
