He is a board member and Vice-President of the World Council for Psychotherapy. His research interests focus on the psychology of religion, positive psychology, and psychotherapy, and he is the main author of more than 100 published journal articles. He has also authored 21 books.James McClenon was a Sociology Professor at Elizabeth City State University, USA, for over two decades, and worked as a licensed clinical social worker at the Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center for eight years.
