OverviewThis edition presents basic combustion concepts using relatively simple and easy-to-understand analyses and also introduces a wide range of practical applications, which motivate or relate to the various theoretical concepts. The text aims to provide a textbook which is useful for both formal undergraduate study in mechanical engineering or related fields and informal study by practising engineers. Additional topics have been included, problems added to many chapters and several additional examples are now included in the text. Those problems requiring, or benefiting from the use of a computer are clearly marked as so.
