Author Information

Bethuel Netshiswinzhe holds a Management Master of Business Administration (MBA), (Henley Business School - University of Reading, 2011), Master of Social Science, (University of Cape Town, 1996), and a Bachelor of Social Science – Honours (University of Cape Town, 1995). In October 2021, Bethuel completed a PhD in Operations Management, (University of Johannesburg, South Africa, 2021). His PhD dissertation was on developing an integrated infrastructure delivery mode in South Africa. The model places integration as a critical underpinning for sustainable infrastructure development. The model is beneficial to infrastructure practitioners, policy makers and researchers who are in pursuit of best practice. Bethuel is currently the Chief Executive of Blue IQ Services (PTY) Ltd. Previously, Bethuel worked as the Head of Department at Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development. Before joining Gauteng Provincial Government, he was the Divisional Executive at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA). Bethuel’s professional interests are in the areas of developing innovative solutions for integrated infrastructure delivery, leveraging technology to drive infrastructure planning and management, climate change and sustainable development, long term development planning and growth strategies. His recent career achievements include successfully implementing a digital transformation programme to operationalise the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS), at the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development. Clinton Aigbavboa is a Professor at the Department of Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Before joining academia, he was involved as a quantity surveyor on several infrastructural projects, both in Nigeria and in South Africa. Prof. Aigbavboa is the immediate past Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He has extensive knowledge in practice, research, training, and teaching. He is currently the Research Chair Director for the DSI / NRF Research Chair in Sustainable Construction Management Leadership in the Built Environment and the Director of the Construction Industry Development Board Centre of Excellence and the Sustainable Human Settlement and Construction Research Centre at the University of Johannesburg. He is also an author of sixteen research books that were published with Springer Nature and CRC Press. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Construction Project Management and Innovation (accredited by the DoHET) and has received national and international recognition in his field of research. He is rated by the South Africa National Research Foundation. Wellington Didibhuku Thwala, PhD, is Research Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, College of Science, Engineering and Technology, University of South Africa (UNISA), South Africa. He has varied research interest, including project management, construction management, supply chain management and leadership in the construction industry, construction digitalization, Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and smart cities. He is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Construction Project Management and Innovation. He has more than 300 published and peer-reviewed journals, chapters in books, and conference proceedings locally and internationally.
