Both this and the Garden Polyanthus have roots which bear what the florists call pin eyed flower and other roots bearing only rose-eyed flowers. In the pin-eyed flower tlae pistil and its summit reach nearly to the mouth of the tube, -so that the anthers which are placed lower down arc invisible, whilst in the rofc-eyed tie anthers are uppermost. f The blofsoms are used for making cowslip wine.
