Her essays have been published in Creative Nonfiction, Orion, River Teeth, DIAGRAM, Longreads, and other journals; selected for several anthologies; and praised as notable in Best American Essays. A former therapist, she was named Maine's Social Worker of the Year in 2012. She and her husband, the artist Frank Turek, live in a little house in Portland, Maine, where they keep several chickens, two cats, and some gloriously untamed gardens. Anna Caputo fell in love with books at an early age and has spent most of her adult life indulging in the spoken word. She was raised in Wisconsin and currently resides in California. She can be heard narrating audiobooks in many genres, including young adult, memoir, cozy mystery, and literary fiction. She received her master's in marriage and family therapy from Touro University and has trained in voice acting with many renowned instructors, including Joel Froomkin, Carol Monda, and Christina Rooney.
