Overview

Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. American Airmotive was founded in Miami, Florida in 1954 to remanufacture surplus military Boeing Stearman trainers as agricultural aircraft, the NA-75. The firm performed these conversions, as well as supplying conversions in kit form. The Kaydet was a conventional biplane of rugged construction with large, fixed tailwheel undercarriage, and accommodation for the student and instructor in open cockpits in tandem. The radial engine was usually uncowled, although some Stearman operators choose to cowl the engine, most notably the Red Baron Stearman Squadron.
