Evans wrote the play Take My Hand: A Blues Man's Path to Gospel, which was selected for a reading at the prestigious National Black Theatre Festival, and she later produced the play for the 2018 Indy Onyx Fest.Ms. Evans has co-written two plays with fellow author/playwright Crystal Rhodes, Stake Out and Grandmother Incorporated. The play Grandmothers Incorporated is based on the characters from their popular cozy mystery book series of the same name. The books include Grandmothers, Incorporated, Sin City, There's Something Wrong with Miss Zelda, and Whose Knife is it anyway? The play, Grandmothers Incorporated, recently won the 2023 Mature Ladies Playwriting Competition sponsored by the City of Evanston, Illinois.Evans is also co-editor of Speed City Sisters in Crime anthology, Murder 20/20.
