Author Information

Laura Brown is a cultural producer. She is the founder of LB Media, a communications firm pairing luxury and the arts with the greater community. In her previous position as Editor in Chief of InStyle, Brown ushered the magazine through an unprecedented pandemic. Under Brown, InStyle was the first American fashion magazine to ban fur and exotic skins in 2018 and the first to sign the 15% Percent Pledge. Before joining InStyle, Brown was Executive Editor of Harper's BAZAAR. She earned her BA in Arts and Communication from Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia. Kristina O'Neill is a 25-year veteran of the New York media industry. She is currently the head of Sotheby's Media and editor in chief of Sotheby's Magazine. Previously, she served as editor in chief of WSJ. Magazine, the Wall Street Journal's glossy luxury-lifestyle print and digital platform, where she was responsible for all editorial content in the publication, oversaw multiple brand extensions, and accrued record revenue for the title. Before WSJ. Magazine, she worked at Harper's BAZAAR for 12 years, serving as Executive Editor for seven of them. At the start of her career, O'Neill worked as Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell's assistant and held editorial roles at New York Magazine and Time Out New York. O'Neill sits on the board of the Swedish fashion brand TOTEME. She graduated from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at New York University and lives in Brooklyn with her family.
