These fundamentals of British agriculture are considered in the first part of the book, and then chapters are devoted to Small Holdings and Allotments, to Housing and Town-planning, and to the importance of thrift in connexion with Building Societies and Co-operative Societies. In the later chap ters will be found, among other subjects, some account of the Sources and Distribution of our Water Supply, and the various modes of Internal Communication. Teachers and students who wish to study Industrial and Commercial History in greater detail are advised to use Dr Cunningham's Growth of English Industry and Commerce.
