I have known Simone since we have studied holistic nutrition together. I had known that she went through a serious health crisis but I did not realize the depth of it.In this story Simone shows you that nothing and nobody can scare you! I knew about Simone's stroke, but reading the book filled in many other pieces, like what she experienced during it (the lightning description) and what was happening around with her family. Many times I got choked up with tears and other times I busted out with laughter as I could totally see and hear her interactions with various individuals (friend at party, Frank, doctor, nurse) as if I was there in person. Her go-getter attitude inspires me and I definitely remind myself when I'm struggling with things.
