Overview

Written in response to a request from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Office of Life and Microgravity Science and Applications to evaluate its Advanced Human Support Technology Programme, this volume reviews the four major areas of the programme: advanced life support; environmental monitoring and control; extravehicular activites; and space human factors. The focus of the programme is on long-term development of technologies applicable to future long-duration human space missions.
