Author Information

Thomas Burns grew up in Gainesville, Florida and received a BFA in graphic design from the University of Florida. After pursuing an MBA in Supply Chain Management at Michigan State University, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia to work for a major telecommunications company. He created his own freelance studio in 2007 and completed his MFA in Illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013. He has been a professor of illustration at SCAD since 2014. His work focuses mainly on the editorial, advertising and children's illustration markets.
