You don’t have to be a star to shine. Sae has always been taller and stronger than the average girl. Koki used to be smaller and weaker than the average boy. But now that he’s in high school, he’s tall and super popular! Will their childhood friendship rekindle…and maybe develop into something more? Sae vows to confess her feelings to Koki at the school festival but ends up spending more quality time with Yota than the object of her affections. Finally, she and Koki are alone together decorating an exhibit with glow-in-the-dark stars. But when the class project goes awry and Sae heads off to get new supplies, it’s Yota who runs after her…

Kazune Kawahara made her debut in 1991 with the manga series His Favorite Person. In 1996, after publishing several one-shot manga, she began her next series, Sensei! (Teacher!), which was adapted into a live-action movie in 2017. In 2003, she launched the critically acclaimed series High School Debut, followed by Aozora Yell (Blue Sky Yell) in 2008. High School Debut was made into a live-action movie in 2011. In 2013, her series My Love Story!! ranked first in Takarajimasha’s This Manga Is Great! competition (josei category) and won Kodansha’s 37th Manga Award (shojo category). In 2015, My Love Story!! was made into a TV anime and a live-action movie.
