Overview

If you want to know what actually occurred between April 12, 1861, and April 9, 1865, you will want to read A Short History of the Confederate States of America. In it you will discover the true facts behind the conflict, all from the pen of one who not only lived through the War, but led the most remarkable republic in world history: Jefferson Davis (1808-1889), president of the Confederate States of America, a country title taken from one of the early nicknames for the United States of America. This special reprint of Davis' illustrated, posthumously published 1890 work, respectfully edited as well as beautifully designed by award-winning author-historian-artist Lochlainn Seabrook, overturns the Left's fake Civil War history with easily demonstrable facts. You will learn, for example, the real reasons why the Southern states seceded, why the Liberal North invaded the Conservative South, and why Southerners were willing to risk everything for their cause. Revealed is a veritable mountain of factual, actionable, and prosecutorial evidence regarding Lincoln's many unconstitutional acts and the countless war crimes committed by Union soldiers. Just as vital, Davis goes into great detail concerning the courage, patriotism, and determination of the Southern people as they struggled, sacrificed, fought, and died resisting their ""implacable foe"" the Liberal Yankee. The reader will not miss out on a single word written by Davis, for Mr. Seabrook has been careful to retain the Confederate president's complete original text, notes, and illustrations. Along with a helpful ""Notes to the Reader"" section (that provides background on mid 19th-Century politics as well as his observations on Davis' book), Mr. Seabrook includes a riveting fact-packed introduction that catalogs the outrages and atrocities perpetrated by the North, while revealing the direct link between Lincoln's War and the communist uprising that exploded across America in 2020. As it has done with the rest of authentic history, the Left has tried unrelentingly to suppress A Short History of the Confederate States of America, attempting to bury its truths under a dark cloud of misinformation, disinformation, lies, and slander. But Mr. Seabrook has brought it back out into the light, preserving authentic Southern history in what we think is the most attractive, informative, and easy-to-read edition of this book ever published - just one reason it is sold at the historic Confederate house ""Beauvoir"" in Biloxi, Mississippi, President Davis' last residence. A vitally important work for all patriots, it will alter your view, not only of the War Between the States, but of America itself, the U.S. Constitution, states' rights, and the Founding Fathers. In our ongoing crusade to preserve genuine Southern history, we are proud to offer this unique reprint to the public, arranged, edited, and artistically designed by Col. Seabrook: President Davis' cousin, a Sons of Confederate Veterans member, and the author and editor of nearly 100 scholarly books. Available in paperback and hardcover. Col. Seabrook's other titles include: Abraham Lincoln Was a Liberal, Jefferson Davis Was a Conservative; Lincoln's War: The Real Cause, the Real Winner, the Real Loser; The Bittersweet Bond: Race Relations in the Old South as Described by White and Black Southerners; Confederate Monuments: Why Every American Should Honor Confederate Soldiers and Their Memorials; All We Ask is to be Let Alone: The Southern Secession Fact Book; North America's Amazing Mammals: An Encyclopedia for the Whole Family; The Concise Book of Owls: A Guide to Nature's Most Mysterious Birds; The Martian Anomalies: A Photographic Search for Intelligent Life on Mars; Victorian Hernia Cures: Nonsurgical Self-Treatment of Inguinal Hernia.

He was a Southern icon. Acclaimed neo-Victorian scholar Lochlainn Seabrook, whose literary works range from astronomy to zoology, is the leading popularizer of authentic Civil War history and one of the most prolific, admired, and important writer-historians in the world today. A descendant of the families of Alexander H. Stephens, John S. Mosby, Edmund W.
