Overview

'Born in Egypt, I was brought up in the spirit of Hebrew Palestine. I lived in the Middle East but received a French education. I married an Englishman and we both became Israelis.' In elegant prose, Suzy Eban evokes her unusual childhood and the complexities and rewards of her life as wife of international statesman, Abba Eban. She is a shrewd judge of character and reveals unknown facets of known personalities.
