Reviews

"Praise for ""Holding Court"" -- ""Both suspenseful and thought-provoking, Alan Miller's outstanding...novel plumbs today's headlines to tell a twisty story filled with desperate characters and a ticking clock."" David Housewright, Edgar Award-winning author of Something Wicked. Praise for ""Holding Court"" - ""...a thrilling political murder mystery centered on that important, but secretive institution, The Supreme Court...told through the eyes of smart and talented characters a reader comes to really like."" Hon. Paul Anderson, Minnesota Supreme Court Justice for 20 years. Praise for ""My Name was Toby"" - ""This is the book you would want your dog to write, if he could write. Author Information

"Alan Miller began his love of journalism early in life, and it carried through to serving as editor of his high school newspaper, writing the senior variety show, and becoming sports editor of the local village newspaper at fifteen, which led to a sports reporter position at Newsday at sixteen. Since then, he majored in journalism and political science in college, became an attorney, worked on several other newspapers, and taught in colleges, universities, and law schools as well as for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. As a weekly columnist for a Long Island, New York, newspaper, he won a first-place designation from the New York Press Association, as well as a best column in Bowling magazine, wrote for the late Joe Franklin's magazine, and began appearing on television on Franklin's nationally televised program as a guest. For the last quarter century, he has been the host-producer of an award-winning local access TV program, ""Access to Democracy,"" now networked in thirty-five Minnesota cities and recently created a new local access TV program in Minnesota entitled Writers Corner. He resides in Minnesota with his wife Sharon, and a springer spaniel rescue named Katie."
