Author Information

Tristan Jimerson is a freelance copywriter living in Minneapolis. His award-winning work has been featured in publications such as Creativity magazine and The Egoist. He has written copy for everything from exercise equipment to electronics. In fact, if you've been inside Best Buy within the last 6 months you've probably read something he wrote. Tristan grew up on the rolling plains of rural Iowa, and after deciding that it wasn't cold enough, moved to Minnesota. Jules Zuckerberg is a cartoonist, illustrator, and craftsperson living in Brooklyn, NY. They grew up in the middle of the woods of New York State and have always drawn inspiration from their observations of flora and fauna. They've created playful illustrations for children's magazines, journal comics galore, and a number of self-published mini comics. Jules is so excited to debut the microcosm of the Sproutlings in A Quick & Easy Guide to Queer & Trans Identities! Mady G. is a cartoonist and illustrator based in New York State. No stranger to wildlife and natural wonders, they spent most of their childhood exploring in the northeastern US and in southwestern Canada, surrounded by all kinds of flora and fauna. They are passionate about LGBT and human rights, especially the rights of transgender and gender non-conforming people, and hope to contribute to a more loving and less judgemental world. A. Andrews is a queer and disabled cartoonist living and working in Minneapolis, Minnesota after a near decade stay in New York City. They grew up in the Pacific Northwest sketching in hospitals, and are the creator of the Autostraddle webcomic Oh, Hey! It's Alyssa! When they're not drawing their guts out, they are hanging out with their dog, George, and drinking too many coffees. Isabella is a cartoonist and illustrator from Maine, living and drawing in Chicago. Her art is usually about the ocean, mermaids, crushing loneliness, people in the woods, or sex. Isabella is the author of You're So Sexy When You Aren't Transmitting STIs and Not On My Watch; The Bystanders' Handbook for the Prevention of Sexual Violence. Isabella is the co-author and illustrator of Wait, What?; A Comic Book Guide to Relationships, Bodies, and Growing Up. Isabella has been Artist in Residence at Scarleteen since 2013.
