Author Information

Mario Coriasco Qualified as a radiographer in 1995, he graduated in Medical Radiology Techniques in 2006. He worked as a radiographer in the Radiology Department of the University of Turin, then in the Unit of Interventional Cardiology of the same University, and since 2001 he has worked in the Neuroradiology of the Neuroscience Department of the Turin University, as a radiographer, CT and MRI-technologist. He has extensive experience of advanced image processing in the magnetic resonance, in particular PWI, DTI, 1H-MRS, and in fMRI experiments in pathological conditions and in research applications. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Genova, teaching Advanced MR techniques in a 1st level master’s in MR (2015-2016). Author of many publications edited on national and international revues, he published books on digital imaging in medical radiology and on magnetic resonance, both adopted as a reference text by a number of universities. Federico D’Agata After a Physics MSc (Nuclear and Subnuclear) University of Turin, Italy, with the thesis: “Tests for drift chambers for the CMS experiment” and a Psychology MSc (Sciences of Mind) University of Turin, Italy, summa cum laude, with the thesis: “Social Emotions: an effective connectivity study”, he completed a PhD in Experimental Neuroscience, University of Turin, Italy, with a thesis on “Cerebellar Functions: Insights from Behavioral, Structural and Functional Neuroimaging studies In Healthy and Medical Conditions”. He is the author and co-author of numerous national and international publications, scientific articles and monographs on MR, and fMRI. Since 2014, he has worked as a researcher at the University of Turin. Alberto De Luca Born in Rovigo (Italy) in 1988, he received a B.Sc. degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2011, and a M.Sc. degree in Bioengineering in 2013 from the University of Padova. Both his Bachelor’s and Master’s theses addressed the analysis of biomedical images. From 2014 he was a PhD student in Bioengineering at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Padova, in partnership with the Scientific Institute IRCCS E. Medea, Bosisio Parini (LC), Italy. His research activities cover various magnetic resonance imaging topics, such as geometrical analysis of the brain from high resolution T1w, particularly in children affected by cortical malformations; Diffusion Weighted MRI (DW-MRI), both in terms of quantitative analysis aimed at clinical research and development of novel signal models; musculoskeletal imaging, including both morphologic acquisitions (T1w, T2w, multi-echo GRE based) and DW-MRI. He received his PhD, and honorary doctorate, and was awarded a fellowship in December 2017. Luciana Gennari A radiographer since 1990, in 2007 he became a tutor in the Neuroscience Department. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Milano-Bicocca with extensive experience in MRI advanced techniques and post processing. He is the author of ten publications in national and international reviews.
