So that work which Way you please, the Result or Answer h always the fame, if the Work be truly performed. Thirdly, If the given Fraclion be an improper one, reduce it to a whole or mix'd Number, and if it shall so happen that there comes out a whole Nu?nber, by the Reducliony there can be no Decimal, because a Decimal always represents a Part or Parts of some whole Thing, and can never represent the whole Thing it self; but if after the Reduction is made, the given improper Fraclion becomes a mix'd Number, then you may let alone the whole Part, and work with the Fractional Part, as has already been taught you.
