OverviewIt is July 1916 and Sergeant Robert Green, member of the Australian Imperial Force, sniper, soldier extraordinaire, and Australian Aboriginal, faces a terrible challenge. Having survived the Gallipoli campaign, Green, is seconded to MI6 for a secret mission behind enemy lines in France. Should he succeed, the war could well be shortened, but should he fail, Europe will continue to burn. His mission is to assassinate Colonel Nicoli influential German nobleman and head of the German Secret Service. To reach his target Green must first endure the danger of the war in the air, the maelstrom of the Battle of Pozieres, and the treachery and deceit of the world of politics and espionage.
