OverviewThis book is a collection of short stories about varied aspects of life from childhood to retirement written primarily during the years 2017-2022 by a senior citizen living in the northwest United States. The stories belong to several different genres including Fiction, History, Non-fiction, Opinion, Poem, SciFi/Fantasy and Mystery, with the multitude delivered as Memoirs. The stories were originally motivated by the author's attendance at a weekly creative writing class for retirees where students were provided suggestions for a homework topic or could write to their own interest. The class was offered three times a year so that with deliberate care the author selected just over 80 pieces as offerings of his story-telling ability. Most tales are less than two pages in length although some contain images. A basic requirement for each story was that it could be read out loud in under seven minutes. Adding a little intrigue is the fact that the author is an Australian with dual citizenship so many efforts reflect activities, history and the culture of that country. Contributions are organized by genre facilitating a reader's ability to pursue either one or several if so desired.
