After the dissolution of her marriage and a number of encounters with manipulative business partners, she struggled to grow her company. However, Flanagan didn't let anything deter her. With determination, she turned her company into one of the best known in the industry. She has held running events for several large organizations throughout California. Flanagan won an entrepreneur of the month award from the San Diego Business Journal. She has since retired and now focuses on her painting and writing. She is the proud mother of four grown children.
