OverviewMany of us wonder what goes on inside a prison. What are the inmates like? What do they do all day? What do they talk about? Are prison inmates like us or are they completely alien? From over 130 stories, posted on social media over three years of the author's weekly prison volunteer work, this book provides a unique perspective on prison life, prison personalities, and prison problems. Moreover, this work gives us insight into our own personalities--those prisons of our own making--which can lock us into repeated patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior. Written as 123 vignettes in 13 chapters, this is an easy and engaging read with an ending that surprised even the author. After reading this book, you won't think of prison or yourself the same ever again. He earned a BS from Denison University and a JD from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, NKU. Tom is a Senior Member of the The Enneagram In Business Network and a Certified Teacher in The Narrative Enneagram. This, his first book, grew out of years of volunteer work in Lebanon Correctional Institute in Ohio. An executive coach, Tom uses the Enneagram personality model both in and out of prison. The word response-ability simply describes his objective, to enable inmates to respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively to life's challenges. Tom entered prison under the auspices of the Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati beginning in June 2016. He volunteered weekly in Catholic Programming at Lebanon Correctional. As this book was in its final edit, Tom was informed that the Bishop was banning Tom's work from the program declaring his Enneagram use as inconsistent with Catholic dogma.
