Author Information

Joan Kristin Haugan possesses a deep reverence for the Black Hills of South Dakota, her lifelong home. Raised on a horse ranch, she has a respect and love for these magnificent creatures. An accomplished horsewoman, she came to understand the intricacies of training horses and learned early on that your horse is your teacher. As a result, she and her equine partners won accolades both locally and nationally. A graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Geological Engineering, as well as a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, she worked for a time as an environmental engineer before going into business with her beloved husband. Joan is a master of Tarot cards, Runes stones and Reiki energy healing. She is knowledgeable in the use and application of essential oils and is well versed in their healing properties. The Adventure Seekers Saga is an attempt to incorporate New Age concepts and ancient wisdom in the form of a fun and entertaining story.
