In the Appendix at the conclu sion of the volume, special prayers will be found adapted to such occasional services. This Manual of Family Worship has been rendered as short as it was practicable to make it, consistently with the plan in view, and it is estimated that it will not occupy more than from ten to fifteen minutes on any one occasion. The work has also been contracted within the narrowest possible space, on grounds of economy; so that, from the smallness of the expense, each member of a family may be furnished with a copy.
