Jessica Pierce is faculty affiliate at the University of Colorado Center for Bioethics and Humanities. She is the author of ten books and hundreds of articles, including The Last Walk: Reflections on Our Pets at the End of Their Lives. Marc Bekoff is professor emeritus of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has published more than thirty books, is a former Guggenheim Fellow, and was awarded the Exemplar Award from the Animal Behavior Society for long-term significant contributions to the field of animal behavior. Karen White is the New York Times bestselling, award-winning author of more than fifteen novels, including The Time Between, On Folly Beach, and the Tradd Street series. A two-time recipient of the National Readers' Choice Award, Karen has been nominated multiple times for the coveted RITA Award. She has also been named twice as a finalist for the SIBA Fiction Book of the Year. Karen lives near Atlanta, Georgia, with her husband and two children.
