In the mean time many additions have been made to our Marine Flora, and very numerous changes both in nomenclature and classification have been rendered necessary by our increased knowledge of the subject. I hope, therefore, that a catalogue incorporating all the more recent alterations may not prove wholly unacceptable to algologists.
