"""A highly detailed guide covering a wealth of insight and techniques that even the most experienced a cappella arrangers can learn from!"" ""This book is amazing! It's got everything the aspiring vocal arranger needs to know: voice ranges, voice-leading, voicing chords, harmony, bass lines, backgrounds behind a soloist... You name it--it's in here. Buy it and start writing!"" Enlightening, multi-dimensional, and jam-packed with high-level yet practical tools, A Cappella Arranging 2.0 is the deepest dive I've encountered into the world of a cappella arranging. The synergy of Dylan Bell and Deke Sharon is beyond impressive. Their collective wisdom, skill, observations, and suggestions will sustain and inform the work of vocal arrangers for years to come"

"""A highly detailed guide covering a wealth of insight and techniques that even the most experienced a cappella arrangers can learn from!"" --Ben Bram, Grammy Award-winning vocal arranger, producer, and engineer; co-creator of Pentatonix"

Author Information

Deke Sharon is heralded as ""the father of contemporary a cappella."" As a performer, arranger, music producer, author, producer, and coach, he is responsible for the current sound of modern a cappella. He has arranged thousands of songs, produced dozens of award-winning albums, written seven books and produced and music directed movies (Pitch Perfect 1, 2, and 3) and television shows (The Sing Off, Pitch Slapped, and Pitch Battle). He was the vocal orchestrator and producer of the first a cappella musical on Broadway, In Transit, and the opening number of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Unmasked. He has shared the stage with countless music legends including Ray Charles, James Brown, Crosby Stills & Nash, Run DMC, The Temptations, LL Cool J, and The Four Tops, as well as performed the televised ""Monday Night Football Theme"" with Hank Williams Jr. through the 2011 NFL season. He lives in San Francisco. Juno-nominated Dylan Bell is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, music director, educator, author, and producer/engineer. Dylan is a mainstay on the Canadian music scene: he has performed for such luminaries as Nelson Mandela and Bishop Desmond Tutu, and has arranged for, produced, or performed with the greatest names in vocal music including Bobby McFerrin, The Nylons, The Swingles, Cadence, the New York Voices, and his own live-looping duo FreePlay. He has played stages in over twenty countries across six continents, and his compositions and arrangements are performed across the world from Adelaide to Zurich. He lives in Toronto.
