Paul Hill is a writer on photography and lecturer on the life and work of Eadweard Muybridge Kazuo Nishi is a film and photography critic, and was Editor-in-Chief of the Japanese photography magazine Camera Mainichi from 1983 to 1985, and author of several books, including Why Still 'Provoke' Now? (1996). Elisabeth Sussman was a curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston and the Biennale of Sydney. James H Rubin is a teacher of art history at the State University of New York and the Cooper Union in New York City and author of Courbet (1997), Impressionism (1999) and Manet s Silence and the Poetics of Bouquets (1994). Francesco Bonami is currently Manilow Senior Curator at the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, and has recently been a member of the Advisory Board of the 2004 Carnegie International and a Curator of the 1993 Venice Biennale. His books include monographs on Atget, Paul Graham and Maurizio Cattelan, the latter published by Phaidon.
