Author Information

Earlene Green Evans is a retired librarian and writer living in Richmond, Virginia. She is a recipient of the Rutherford Memorial and the Florence B. Duke Awards for excellence in Library Science and a two time winner of the Virginia Educational Media Association Photography Award. Muriel Miller Branch, a retired librarian, is also a writer, storyteller and historian. She is the recipient of the 1998 Region I Outstanding Educator of the Year Award. She lives in Richmond, Virginia.
