About the Author: Siddhartha Basu is the producer and director of the Kaun Banega Crorepati show. He started his career as a documentary film maker and has directed television programs. Basu pioneered television quiz shows first by hosting Quiz Time on Doordarshan. He is regarded as the father of television quiz shows in India. He helped create BIG Synergy Media Ltd., which is involved in producing popular shows like Dus Ka Dum. Basu has also authored Mastermind India, The Complete Mastermind India Vol.1, Inquizitive, Know For Sure and The India Quiz Book. He has acted in serials like Purvai that have been telecasted on Doordarshan and acted in the Bollywood movie - Madras Cafe.
