Dr. Ramesh Mishra is the junior son of noted tabla player Pt. Dayashankar Mishra. He got his early education from his mother Mrs. Chandravati Mishra. After completing his MA.Ph.D from Indrakal Sangeet University Khairagarh, he received the degree of Sahityaacharya, Sahityaratna and Sangeetvane. He has travelled to England, France, Switzerland and Singapore in addition to major cities of the country. Dr. Mishra has so far been awarded various titles including Surmani Award (Mumbai), Sahityakala Parishad Award (Delhi), Abhinav Samman (Bhopal) by various cultural institutions of the country. He is currently serving as music professor and head of department.
