100 for 100: Macbeth is a thoughtfully created revision guide with activities to help students deepen their understanding of this fascinating play. It will support their understanding of the background, the characters, their motivations and the wider political significance of Macbeth. Accessible, methodical and designed to build success. -- Mary Myatt, * education writer and speaker * Students often struggle to revise for English. A 'little and often' approach is the definitely the best way. The genius of this essential book is that it provides an achievable, effective and fascinating daily immersion in all things Macbeth. If students follow this practical and sensible schedule, there's no doubt that they'll flourish when it comes to being assessed on Shakespeare. -- Mark Roberts, * author, English teacher and Director of Research * This is truly an unrivalled revision guide for students of Macbeth. The book's structure of interleaving revision of character, theme, context, and motifs/symbols each 'day' allows students to access a wealth of powerful knowledge and skilfully apply this to their personal interpretations of the play. The most impressive part is the embedding, seamlessly, of critical essays in a student friendly way. The ambition, the stretch, and challenge for students leaps off each page! I only wish I had this when I first studied the play aged 16. There's surely more of these to come from Stuart and Amy (pretty please?); all students would be privileged to learn from their incredible expertise. -- Donal Hale * Curriculum Leader of English at Trinity Academy Leeds * 100 for 100 is jam-packed full of interesting and challenging daily tasks designed to help students revise Macbeth in preparation for GCSE exams. What I love is that the tasks are not repetitive so students will be motivated to attempt the range of tasks set out in the book. I will be recommending this to students and their families, as well as teachers who are aiming to revise, close gaps in knowledge and help accelerate progress. This excellent revision guide will get students' minds buzzing with all things Macbeth. -- Yamina Bibi * senior leader and English teacher * 100 for 100 is the perfect Macbeth manual for students. It includes a concise but thorough rundown of all the acts in the play, tasks on characters and useful activities on context. As the mother of a Year 11 pupil, I know this book will be a must have for him and other Key Stage 4 students across the country. It's a triumph! -- Haili Hughes * former English teacher and current Director of Education and principal lecturer *
