Author Information

Eleni Elefterias-Kostakidis is an author, songwriter and teacher with HSC to university-level experience. She is currently a PhD Candidate at UTS (University of Technology Sydney) in Communications Creative Writing Non-Fiction. Alfred was for twenty-five years a staff member in the Modern Greek Studies programmes at the University of Sydney, Australia, where he is now an affiliate. He continues to research in the field of early Modern Greek society and culture, especially on Crete and other areas ruled by Venice in the 16th and 17th centuries. Other interests include Greek music and Balkan studies. Alfred has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Crete.
