Amberley has worked in the field of mental health and wellbeing for more than 25 years. Beginning as a volunteer at a UK-based drug and alcohol drop-in centre in 1995, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Health Psychology.For more than two decades, she has been a registered psychologist in both Australia and New Zealand, supporting individuals, couples, and groups in a wide range of settings. Adaptable Sustainable Psychology was developed as a reflection of over 25 years of experience in mental health, informed by more than 60,000 hours of client work and her ongoing professional development.Amberley has held diverse roles across the mental health sector, including working as an authorised officer, working in acute care wards and community teams, operating her own private practice, and completing training in multiple therapeutic modalities. She has also facilitated trauma-informed retreats and delivered psycho-educational programs in both community and workplace settings.Her approach is grounded in respect for individual experience and the value of self-reflection and self-compassion.
