Qiu Xiaolong is a poet and the author of several novels featuring Inspector Chen, as well as Years of Red Dust, a Publishers Weekly Best Book of 2010. Born and raised in Shanghai, Qiu lives with his family in St. Louis, Missouri. An AudioFile Earphones Award winner, David Shih narrated the History Channel documentary China's First Emperor and the Discovery Networks series Royal Inquest. His many television and film credits include roles in The Path, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, All My Children, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Saving Face.
