The Cat Man of Darby Road is an homage to 20 feral cats the author cared for over a 20-year period. It is an elegy and a timely and urgent collection of personal writing where cats are not only preternatural creatures that carry their own powers but also the vehicle for contemplation of greater existence. Author Information

Kamran Nayeri. Ph.D. has been writing nonfiction since 1977. More recently, he has written and published short stories and creative nonfiction some of which have focused on nonhuman animals including wild turkeys and a turkey vulture who have bonded with him. For thirty years, Nayeri taught and researched at the State University of New York, Health Science Center at Brooklyn, University of California, Berkeley, and University of California Office of the President. He is the editor and publisher of Our Place in the World: A Journal of Ecosocialism. Nayeri is also a serious hobbyist natural and wildlife photographer.
