Overview

Hope and Hunter are two funny, curious Malamutes who live in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. They are always ready for an adventure. One morning they decide to go to the beach, and while they are playing Sid the Squirrel sneaks up and takes Hope's apple. The chase begins! They chase the squirrel deeper and deeper into the woods and meet many different animals along the way. They get lost and it is getting close to dark. Will Hope ever get her apple back? Will they find their way home?

KIM BALOG is a nature photographer who lives in Cape Dauphin, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. She has a passion for dogs, nature and all animals. Kim has 2 Alaskan Malamute dogs named Hope and Hunter who love to hike through the woods and beaches around her home. She has taken many beautiful photographs of the area and not only of her dogs but of the many animals that live in this amazing place on the ocean. THE ADVENTURES OF HOPE AND HUNTER was created from her collection of photographs turning them into a beautiful and fun picture adventure for children. RACHEL HAGGETT is a nature and animal enthusiast who was born and raised in beautiful Cape Breton Island. She has had a love for animals all her life and has been rescuing stray and injured animals since she was a child. At one point, she owned 25 pets as well as a small hobby farm. Currently, Rachel has focused her passions into a very special doggie daycare/ kennel called Good Hands Boarding Kennels which offers a unique and caring environment for dogs. Rachel has always loved telling stories to her children and grandchildren so she decided to put her words into print with THE ADVENTURES OF HOPE AND HUNTER.
