Suzanne Coffey Mielke was Born in Tennessee, she is the daughter of college football coach Charlie Coffey, which led her family to live in various states, including Florida, Louisiana, Washington, D.C., Arkansas, and Virginia. Suzanne graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in fashion merchandising. Her diverse career has spanned retail management, owning a catering company, radio sales, and notably, a 17-year tenure as an executive television producer. Her writing journey began around the age of 45, inspired by her friendship with quadriplegic artist William Heard. This led to her first book, Providence Road, a memoir detailing her near-death experience and quest for purpose. As a grandmother, Suzanne turned to children's literature, crafting stories that blend imagination with life lessons. Her works include: -The Adventures of Vick Bick (2020): Chronicles the journey of a well-traveled ink pen. -A Boy and a Tree (2022): Explores the friendship between a boy and a tree, addressing themes of loneliness. -What's New at the Zoo (2023): A rhyming book designed to elicit laughter and joy in children, illustrated by Jack Whitney. -Suzanne lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband, Butch and their dog Mercy. She is the mother of two grown children, ant the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren. Jack Whitney grew up in middle Tennessee, where at the age of 4 he announced that he would become an artist. This was only after he discovered his first two choices of becoming a tractor or a bear weren't possible! He settled on becoming an artist and has remained one his whole life.For over 30 years, Jack has used both traditional and digital tools to create art for advertising and publishing.
