Overview

This book includes common indications, current evidence, pearls, pitfalls, and limitations of PET/CT in oncology and represents an invaluable tool for nuclear medicine physicians and radiologists and oncology residents in understanding and reporting PET/CT scans-excellent study materials. Although several textbooks, articles and books about PET/CT in oncology have been published, more practical books and materials are needed to answer the referring clinicians' common questions. The volume presents a comprehensive overview starting from basic sciences, PET tracers, patient preparation and radiotherapy planning. It is therefore organized in chapters according to all main tumors affecting skin, tissue, bones, organs and glands. At the end of each chapter a series of MCQ are included. Question and Answers in PET/CT is a valuable reference for nuclear medicine physicians, and all other healthcare professionals in need of a concise review of the basics of PET/CT imaging.
