Overview

Examines the concept behind what will hopefully be the short-lived neologism Eurogovernance and the parameters of public policy making in contemporary Europe. Most of the contributors are in international studies, but health geography, criminal justice, and politics are also represented. They argue that government and governance can only be understood from a multi-theory perspective, and analyze the consequences of the challenge of regional interdependence for individual states, the European Union, and Europe as a whole. They also discuss the continuing hegemony of the US in security, defense, and economic management.
